A Picture-Perfect Family Shoot at Callander Park, Falkirk - All Smiles and Wagging Tails!

It was so lovely to reconnect with Kirsty, Alan, adorable two-year-old Bobby, and their lovable dog, Dazzle, at the lush Callander Park in Falkirk. I had the pleasure of photographing wee Bobby as a newborn so I was excited to see them all again. The magic of watching families grow is one of the amazing parts of this job.

Mother Nature was on our side, offering up fabulous weather. An outdoor shoot is perfect for engaging the attention of young kids (and the occasional furry friend!).

What I love most about family shoots like these is the spontaneous, candid magic we capture. Every family is different and even though we may go to the same place as a previous family shoot we’ll still come away with something different. There’s always something we can spot and talk about to keep wee ones happy.

For anyone seeking an idyllic location for your family shoots in Central Scotland, I cannot recommend Callander Park in Falkirk enough. The natural light filtering through the trees, the rich earthy tones, and the open space for kids (and pups) to express themselves make it a photographer's dream.
