A Memorable Autumn Wedding at The Den at Culross

Lauren and Alan's autumn wedding was one to remember. From the gorgeous moody atmosphere to the fairy lights, barn ambiance, and fun guests - everything was perfect! Lauren said whenever she’d been asked about her “theme” for the day she would say it was Witchy which I just loved. The details like the peach glittery veil, the barn decor and the general colour scheme were just gorgeous to photograph. Read on to find out more about their special day.

The Venue

Lauren and Alan chose The Den at Culross for their special day. This amazing venue is tucked away in Scotland's picturesque countryside and provided a unique backdrop. With its rustic charm and enchanting character, it's no wonder they fell in love with it. It was our first time photographing here and we would absolutely love to go back. The outdoor space is ideal for bridal portraits with lots of spots for variety while staying onsite. When we first arrived it was really foggy and atmospheric and we all said how perfect it was for an autumn wedding. And even though it was chilly the courtyard was perfect for guests mingling and for the sparkler shot later on in the evening.

The Decorations

When it comes to decorations, Lauren and Alan hit all the right notes. The venue is already decorated with beautiful fairy lights and rustic decor, but they added some extra touches with pumpkins, beautiful florals and centrepieces and a nod to their love of Harry Potter.

All in all, Lauren and Alan’s autumn wedding had something for everyone! From the stunning venue to the cosy decorations to the delicious food and drinks - it truly was a memorable event that everyone loved.
