Macdonald forest hills hotel & spa wedding

This wedding was stunning! For only my first time at Macdonald Forest Hills Hotel and Spa i was absolutely spoiled with a fantastic couple who had heaps of personality, making them so easy to work with, beautiful weather and this gorgeous venue. We had the best day :)

Everyone was getting ready at the venue which just makes everything so much easier. It was a super chilled morning, and this is the time we use to get to know the bridal party. We’re in the background all day so it’s important we all get along.

It was a beautiful outdoor ceremony with the string quartet playing Lauren and her bridesmaids down the aisle. The surrounding scenery provided an amazing backdrop as we listened to Lauren and John’s story, their vows to each other and the moment they were pronounced married. It was really lovely.

Afterwards we took them down to the water and around the grounds for their bridal portraits. We decided to wait until after dinner for the family formals as it was so bright we were all struggling to look where we needed to. It was a great decision because everyone was really relaxed and up for fun.

Lauren and John also organised a margarita truck for their guests which was well enjoyed!

I would love to come back here, it’s got everything - beautiful rooms to get ready and stunning scenery.
